Other causes of a toothache can include the following

  • Dental Fillings: Structural damage can be caused as a result of tooth decay, wear or trauma. At Hallandale Beach Dental,  we provide tooth fillings as cosmetic procedures. We use composite resin (white filling material) or porcelain to fix each tooth and make it seem natural. Once you visit our dental office, Dr. RaphaelArwas will discuss your dental treatment to see if fillings are the right choice for you.

  • Bonding: Tooth bonding is a term used to describe the process of using composite resins to "glue" materials to the surface of a tooth for restorative purposes. Most patients come with chipped or cracked teeth and these are  typically repaired through bonding.

  • Invisalign: Misaligned teeth and malocclusions can be straightened and corrected with Invisalign treatment. Dr. Arwas is a certified Invisalign provider. Invisalign treatment is both a functional and cosmetic treatment, and has become an increasingly popular field of dentistry.

  • Root Canals: A root canal treatment is performed to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form.

  • Dental Crowns: Dental crowns can repair extensively decayed or damaged teeth. Our dental crowns are strictly made out of Zirconia at the best dental laboratories in United States.

  • Dental Bridges: Dental bridges replace missing teeth with artificial replacements (pontic). The pontic is held in place by composite materials that are anchored to surrounding teeth. General dentists, family dentists, prosthodontists and cosmetic dentists may perform bridge procedures.

  • Dentures: Dentures are use to replace missing teeth or damaged teeth that cannot be otherwise repaired. General dentists, family dentists, Prosthodontists, or cosmetic dentists may perform the procedure.

  • Oral and Maxillofacial Procedures: Oral Surgery procedures range from the less invasive treatment of abnormalities of the mouth, jaw and face – including accompanying structures such as the teeth – to major oral surgeries such as dental implant. Dental Implants are a way of reconstructive surgery but most dentists take continue education to become dental implant certified providers.

  • Periodontal Treatment: Early gum disease treatment may include tooth scaling and cleaning at three-month intervals along with use of medicated mouthwash and proper flossing. Ask Dr. Arwas about deep cleanings to learn more about it.

  • Wisdom Tooth Extractions: Your wisdom teeth are the last set of molars that start growing during your teens or early twenties. There are times that your wisdom teeth could  be valuable assets to your mouth, when they are healthy and properly aligned, but most of the time, these teeth may need urgent removal due to misalignment growth.

  • Dental Veneers: Dental veneers are individually sculpted for each patient, so it makes it almost impossible to tell the difference between natural teeth and porcelain veneers. Unlike natural teeth, your custom-made veneers will be able to resist coffee and tea and cigarette. Ask Dr. Arwas if porcelain veneers could be the right choice for you.

  • Sedation Dentistry: Sedation dentistry has become more relaxing over the years. Patients have alternatives to the traditional modalities of inhalation such as nitrous oxide, also called "laughing gas" or light oral conscious sedation or how others call it "oral pill sedation".
